Workshop

Cognitive study. Bridging the gap. One goal, multiple briefs.

The following is a review of some highlights of our unique approach that starts by participating in an R-Co Solution Workshop.

Cognitive Study: Demographics incorporate commonly obtainable data. We found we needed more intuitive information about users if we were to successfully develop a system for their use. We study the thought processes and behaviors of users via a cognitive science approach. By gaining this extra insight we can truly develop systems that address both why and how users interact with a brand.

Bridging the Gap: Not only are samples of users invited to the R-Co Solution Workshop, but so to are important stakeholders involved in the technology project. By enabling IT, marketers, strategists, designers, project managers all into the same discussion at the same table, a more in depth understanding of each of their requirements is achieved.

One Goal, Multiple Briefs: More often than not when a technology development plan is written, the individual stakeholder content is spread thinly.

Our goal in the R-Co Solution Workshop is to emerge with comprehensive plans for each stakeholder. This will allow IT to clearly work towards a common goal, while marketers and brand managers follow their line of action to achieve the same goal. Even though consumer behavior is a highly complex science, usage of proper cognitive science tools provides credible insights to a user. These tools reveal how and why certain behaviors are displayed. They help us understand why certain brands and designs are preferred and why others are left on the shelf. They reveal a space where consumers might occupy with regards to brand, value and consumption.

Our framework is designed to analyze how experiences can be shared to customers rather than selling a product. We see a niche in providing value and offering solutions to promote user led environments rather than fancy tech savvy or design rich websites which intimidate customers. R-Co’s framework has a competitive edge due to the fact that we measure and observe information beyond demographics.

Demographics are basic superficial information commonly obtainable. We are interested in studying users via observing and analyzing their thought process and behavior using a cognitive science approach.

Overall process

The above figure outlines the framework which is made up of a process flow. This essentially goes through a four stage process prior to eventually offering a credible website solution. R-Co holds the IP for stage 2 and 3.
